Wayne Heck and Marlene Hassel met in 1991 when they were at Waterfront Homes, where they developed a partnership that has endured to this day. Today, they are proud to be agents with Villa Real Estate, and couldn't feel luckier to serve clients in the Orange County area. A native of California, Wayne graduated from San Diego State University and has been an entrepreneur ever since. He and four partners took over the Quiet Woman in Corona del Mar and turned it into a successful venture. After ten years, he opened his first Haagen-Dazs shop in Newport Beach, followed by two more. His latest venture is a shoe and sandal store in Downtown Disney. He was also a Varsity baseball coach at Newport Harbor High School, bringing the team to the CIF finals!
Wayne got his real estate license in 1991. He began this “other career” at Waterfront Homes in Newport Beach. There he partnered with Marlene Hassel, which has turned into a successful collaboration for nearly 30 years. He has been privileged to work at Villa Real Estate since its founding.
Bringing decades of expertise in the real estate business and deep roots in Newport Beach, Wayne is highly regarded by professionals in his field. He is well connected, involved with, and is esteemed in the Orange County community. Throughout his businesses Wayne has built a reputation founded upon integrity, excellence, and hard work.
With his wife Cate, they have one daughter and two little grandsons. The Hecks have lived on Lido Isle for the past 33 years. Wayne and his family attend Mariners Church and actively support several ministries. Wayne is on the board of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Cate is on the board of Kerus Global Education.
A graduate of UC Santa Barbara, Marlene Hassel’s real estate background dates back to 1988. Since then, she has consistently been recognized as one of the highest-performing agents in the coastal Orange County area.
